From frustration to freedom.
Founded in 2025 by Samuel Mpwanyi and the Prodev Innovations team, TheTravella was born from a simple observation: getting a reliable rental car in Uganda was harder than it needed to be.
Prices were opaque, vehicle conditions were inconsistent, and the process was steeped in paperwork. Meanwhile, thousands of cars sat parked, costing their owners money instead of earning it.
We built TheTravella to bridge this gap. By creating a secure, transparent platform, we empower car owners to become entrepreneurs and give travelers the freedom to explore East Africa on their own terms.
